Plastic Surgery Training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore
After completion of the Surgery training, Dr Buthainah Al Shunnar was admitted to and successfully completed her Plastic Surgery Training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, under leaders in the field in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, in what is considered to be one of the most rigorous Plastic Surgery training programs in the world, to become the first American Board-Certified Emirati Plastic Surgeon as well as the first female Emirati Plastic Surgeon.
First Arab woman and Emirati to be admitted to the Johns Hopkins Hospital (USA) General Surgery training
Dr Buthainah Alshunnar was the first Arab woman and Emirati to be admitted to and complete Johns Hopkins Hospital General Surgery (USA) and subsequently Johns Hopkins Hospital (USA) Plastic Surgery trainings.
